We are seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join our team at a Local Government Waste Management authority based in the eastern suburbs.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, four-month contract position that requires the successful candidate to provide administrative support to the Coordinator Waste Management and other team members.
- Provide administrative support, including preparation and processing of external correspondence.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Accurately record customer service requests through Council's authority system.
- Update information boards and electronic notice boards.
- Support the administration team with ad-hoc duties as requested.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous Local Government experience, highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in previous administration roles.
- Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and analytical ability, including accurate spelling, alpha-numeric data entry, and qualifying data.
- Exceptional time management, high-level interpersonal skills, and professional discretion.
