Engineering Excellence in Mine Planning

Job Description:

As an Mine Planner, you will be responsible for optimizing mine plans to meet operational and safety targets. You will ensure that all planning functions are aligned with the business's strategic goals.

We expect all employees to act in a manner that enhances our values, safety culture, and performance. This is an on-site position with a roster of 8 days on 6 days off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mining Design: Prepare stope designs, level plan layouts, and mining instructions as required to meet the operational mining schedule.
  • Plan Optimization: Ensure mine plans are completed considering ventilation, infrastructure, and pastefill requirements.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Develop infrastructure plans and schedules with due consideration to mining interactions and budget requirements.
  • Guidance and Communication: Guide and communicate planning guidance to the Production Team, assisting with weekly schedule development.

Requirements:

We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, as well as a safety-conscious individual with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A strong understanding of underground engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim.
  • Possess a manual valid Driver's License.
