As part of this commitment, reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Planning, you will be responsible for the planning functions of the underground operations to meet all safety, production, and cost targets driven by the short and medium-term plan; and aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the business.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to lead the development of mine plans, designs, and layouts that ensure operational excellence and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed stope designs, level plan layouts, and mining instructions to meet the operational mining schedule.
  • Develop comprehensive mine plans considering ventilation, infrastructure, and pastefill requirements.
  • Design and implement efficient underground engineering solutions, including optimisations and sensitivities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop infrastructure plans and schedules, ensuring effective mining interactions and budget management.
  • Provide expert guidance and communication to the Production Team, assisting with weekly schedule development.
  • Coordinate project collaboration and coordination across multiple departments.
Requirements:
  • A motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Completed a WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, or ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrate significant underground engineering experience, preferably in gold operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
