Senior Medium Term Planning Engineer Role

This is a senior engineering position responsible for the safe and optimal extraction of gold from an open pit mine.

The core function of this role will be to design and schedule all aspects of the mine operation, serving as a conduit between long-term and short-term planning functions.

  • Design and schedule all aspects of the mine operation, including waste dumps and other surface infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with the long-term planning team during strategic planning processes.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and backfilling for senior planning engineers as required.
  • Training and mentoring junior planning engineers.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience in open pit engineering, planning and operational, as well as a strong understanding of mining and environmental approvals.

Proficiency in mining software such as Alastri, Deswik, and Microsoft Office is also highly desirable.
