As a senior planning engineer, you will be responsible for the planning functions of underground operations. This involves ensuring all safety, production and cost targets are met. You will work closely with the senior engineer: mine planning to develop short and medium-term plans aligned with the company's strategic goals. Your role will involve preparing stope designs, level plan layouts and mining instructions to meet operational mining schedules. You must ensure that mine plans consider ventilation, infrastructure and paste fill requirements. Additionally, you will prepare underground design optimisations, sensitivities and reports, as well as develop infrastructure plans and schedules considering mining interactions and budget constraints. Key Responsibilities:
">Engage in effective communication with the production team to assist with weekly schedule development.
">Collaborate with other departments on project coordination.

Requirements:

  • Completed tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or a related discipline.
  • Held a WA first class mine manager's certificate of competency, or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong underground engineering experience preferably in gold operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim.
  • Possess a manual valid driver's license.
