Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop mine plans, layouts, and instructions in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Evaluate mine plans considering ventilation, infrastructure, and pastefill needs.
  • Create underground design optimisations, sensitivities, and reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Design and schedule infrastructure development while considering mining interactions and resource allocation.
  • Provide planning guidance to the Production Team, assisting with weekly schedule development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project coordination.

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related field, along with strong underground engineering experience, preferably in gold operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Engineering: Create and implement stope designs, level plan layouts, and mining instructions to meet operational schedules.
  • Mine Planning: Ensure accurate completion of mine plans, considering ventilation, infrastructure, and pastefill requirements.
  • Design Optimisation: Develop underground design optimisations, sensitivities, and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Infrastructure Development: Plan and schedule infrastructure development, considering mining interactions and resource allocation.
