Companion Carer Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and client-focused Companion Carer to join our team. As a key member of our care community, you will provide exceptional support to individuals in their own homes.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have experience supporting neurodivergent clients and possess strong expertise in mental health care. You will work closely with registered nurses to deliver high-quality, holistic care that meets the unique needs of each individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the client's care team to identify and address care needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence.
  • Maintain accurate daily client notes and report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability or equivalent.
  • Current Senior First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling certifications.
  • A roadworthy vehicle with a current driver's license.
  • NDIS Screening (willingness to obtain is acceptable).
  • Strong expertise in mental health care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel as required.
