Senior Care Professional Role

About the Role:

As a Senior Care Professional, you will be responsible for delivering holistic and client-focused care, working closely with Registered Nurses to develop and implement personalized care plans. You will provide assistance with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, following the Client Care Plan.
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.
  • Identify client care needs and work collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Maintain accurate daily client notes and promptly report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
  • Support clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings, under the supervision of an RN.

What You'll Need:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
  • Current Senior First Aid certification, CPR certification, and Manual Handling certification (with 3+ months until expiry).
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • Federal Police Clearance (within the last 6 months).
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
  • Commitment to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
