This role involves enhancing capabilities and reputation through sustaining capital projects, including heavy haul rail projects and mine developments. Daily tasks will include;

  • Completing field and office assignments under senior engineer guidance while adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Preparing geotechnical designs, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings for high-quality project deliverables.
  • Interpreting field and laboratory data to support geotechnical model development and design recommendations.
  • Ensuring accurate entry, validation, and management of geotechnical data within project databases for integrity and traceability.
  • Delivering clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation on schedule with review and mentorship from senior team members.
About the Role
  • A degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Civil Engineering is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Geo role, preferably on mining, rail, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical data management packages, such as OpenGround, gINT, and GIS applications like GlobalMapper.
  • Willingsness to participate in regular fieldwork.
  • An ability to work cohesively within a team-driven environment.
  • Strong report writing and excellent communication skills.
