Role Overview

The Maintenance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of hotel facilities.

This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, including equipment upkeep and repair, preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining the overall functionality of the hotel's facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, including equipment upkeep and repair, and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Maintain overall facility functionality and coordinate with relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Lead a team of maintenance personnel and collaborate with contractors to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Manage maintenance projects and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance needs effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience in Maintenance Management and Maintenance & Repair (strata experience preferred but not essential).
  • Strong Leadership Skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent administration and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Equipment Upkeep and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site in Port Douglas.
  • Relevant certifications in maintenance or engineering are advantageous.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is beneficial.
