Job Overview

This role plays a critical part in engaging Aboriginal families and children from birth to four years old in Child and Family Learning Centres (CFLCs).

The successful candidate will provide support and activities that promote family safety and address the impacts of family violence on children. They will also offer culturally specific advice on family engagement and develop strategies to improve the safety of Aboriginal families in the CFLC environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with local Aboriginal communities and a deep understanding of the cultural context of family safety and well-being.

Requirements

Responsibilities include promoting family safety and addressing the impacts of family violence on children through various means including support services and individualised care.

To be successful, candidates should possess strong communication skills and experience working with Aboriginal families in similar contexts.

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate knowledge of Aboriginal culture and practices.
