This department prioritizes the needs of children and young people, focusing on building safe and supportive communities.
The ultimate goal is to ensure every child and young person in Tasmania feels known, secure, and engaged in learning.
To achieve this, we work closely with Aboriginal families and children from birth to four years old (including older children within the family) who are accessing Child and Family Learning Centres (CFLCs).
We provide support and activities that promote family safety and address the impacts of family violence.
Our approach involves delivering culturally specific advice relating to family engagement and developing support strategies that enhance the safety of Aboriginal families, including pregnant women, within the CFLC environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- A valid driver's license
As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of your community.
