The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Provisional Psychologist or Psychologist.
Job DescriptionThis role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing counselling and support to children, young people, and their families who have experienced family violence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting clients to recover from the effects of trauma through the delivery of specialist psychological services and therapeutic support.
You will undertake appropriate forms of interventions within family violence, trauma, and attachment frameworks, using evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models. This may include conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, and developing case management plans tailored to individual client needs.
- To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the capacity to think critically and creatively.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with best practices in your field.

Eligibility CriteriaTo be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Working with Children Registration.
