This department is built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning. The child is at the centre of everything we do and the way we do it.
OverviewTo engage Aboriginal families and children from birth to four years (including older children within the family) accessing Child and Family Learning Centres (CFLCs) to deliver support and activities that promote family safety and address the impacts on children of family violence. Provide culturally specific advice relating to family engagement and the development of support strategies that improve the safety of Aboriginal families (including pregnant women) in the CFLC environment.
Period of AppointmentASAP until 30 June 2027
Hours per fortnight36.75 hours per fortnight
Essential Requirements- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- The Head of the State Service has determined that this position is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position and that it can only be filled by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with Employment Direction No. 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tagged and Identified Positions.
- A Current Drivers Licence.
