We are seeking an experienced Transformational Commercial Strategist to partner closely with our team and drive commercial excellence across our business.

**Job Description:**

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming supplier performance by inspiring customers through innovative solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve our smarter selling goals by reducing end-to-end supply chain costs and winning together with suppliers.

You will take a strategic approach to deliver bold COGs targets and support in bringing together all elements of the Merchandise strategy, including Range, Value and Pricing, promotional effectiveness, and supplier promotional funding. This will involve identifying opportunities for end-to-end cost reduction and simplification, utilising joint business planning processes to drive category growth, building frameworks to guide approaches and playbooks, and driving commercial excellence through our Business Unit Academy program.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's level Business, Finance, or Engineering qualification; Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA, CA, CPA) highly regarded;
  • Proven years of experience in a similar commercial role where you developed and drove strategic change;
  • Strong analytical and insight generation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Developed stakeholder management experience;
  • Ability to thrive in a changing and ambiguous environment.
