Data Governance Framework Implementation Specialist

This role is responsible for establishing and leading a comprehensive data governance framework across the institution. The Data Governance Technical Lead ensures the accuracy, integrity, security, and accessibility of institutional data across domains.

The position leads efforts to improve data quality and consistency across systems such as student information systems (SIS), HR and Identity platforms. This includes implementing processes for data cataloguing, lineage tracking, metadata management, and automation-driven data quality improvement using tools like Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).

This role also ensures that data privacy and security policies are aligned with regulatory standards. The Technical Lead will champion a culture of data stewardship by designing and delivering training programs that promote governance best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data governance framework implementation and maintenance.
  • Data quality and consistency improvement across systems.
  • Metadata management and data cataloguing.
  • Data lineage tracking and data quality metrics establishment.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles.
  • Experience implementing governance tools (preferably Informatica) in a cloud or hybrid environment.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and tracking Data Quality Metrics (DQMs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and data health dashboards.
