**Job Title:** Data Governance Specialist

**Location:** Sydney

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to support the implementation of data policies across risk and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, risk policy implementation, and experience working in financial services or stock exchange environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units to define and implement data policies related to risk and compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for data governance initiatives.
- Support the development and maintenance of data models that align with business needs and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive consensus on data governance and risk-related processes.
- Assist in the design and rollout of data consumption strategies across departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external data regulations (e.g., GDPR, Basel, SEBI).

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, stock exchange, or related domains.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and risk & compliance frameworks.
- Experience in implementing data policies and controls in regulated environments.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data consumption practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GDPR, SOX, Basel III, SEBI guidelines, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Management, or related field.
- Certification in Data Governance, Risk Management, or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CRISC, DGSP).
