Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced data governance specialist to join our advanced analytics team. The primary purpose of the role is to support and enable divisions across the organization to plan and implement frameworks and processes related to data management.

This is a critical role that demonstrates industry-leading direction with which we will leverage data as an asset for customer outcomes.

  • Support business divisions and project teams with SME input and advisory for consistent implementation of Data Governance Framework across the organization.
  • Work with leadership to identify data domains and domain leads, owners, and stewards to assist in the development and delivery of appropriate data management enablement across the organization.
  • Facilitate sharing and adoption of data management best practices through governance forums and committees within the division/branch.
  • Define classification of data and critical data elements in area of domain and division with data owner and ensure they know how to treat each element.
  • Work with data owners and stewards to help them understand and implement enterprise data management frameworks and processes.
  • Create awareness and facilitate adoption of the Enterprise Governance platform across the organization. Partner with data governance colleagues to catalogue all data assets and associated metadata across the organization.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Management including exposure to data governance tools.
  • Strong business communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
  • Natural influencer and negotiator.
  • Delivery-focused using agile project management practices.
