Dynamic Role in Community Services
This challenging position involves providing vital support to families connected with Child Protection services.
As a member of our Clinical & Social Services Team, Family Support Specialists deliver crucial information, support, referrals, skills-based education and case management services to:
- Strengthen relationships between children and caregivers
- Enhance caregiving capacity of parents
- Help families reconnect with their community
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Community Services or relevant experience in Child protective Services Systems, AOD, Mental Health or Youth Work
- Current C or CA class Driver's license (QLD)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver client-focused interventions with effective communication
- Implement outcome measures and complete concise reporting for Child Protection services
- Provide expert knowledge on domestic and family violence responses
Background checks and satisfactory screenings are mandatory. Successful candidates must demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia and disclose any pre-existing injuries that may affect job performance.
