
Family Support Specialist

This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with families who are engaged with child protection services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering information, support, referral, skills-based education, and case management services to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
To ensure success in this position, the ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Families Served: Families who are engaged with child protection services, including those who are at risk of reunification failure, have experienced trauma, or require ongoing support to maintain a safe living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver information, support, referral, skills-based education, and case management services to families in need.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement family-centered plans.
- Conduct home visits and assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness within the family unit.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote family stability and resilience.
- Collaborate with community resources to provide referrals and support services to families as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with families in a social service setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
