The Opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant or Clinician (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Provisional Psychologist, or Psychologist) to join our passionate team in the ACT. Working closely with the Australian Defence Force at the Health Centre in Duntroon, you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of defence personnel.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will assess and identify the needs of defence personnel who have sustained an injury or trauma, developing and implementing strategies to enable their rehabilitation.
  • Partnering with defence personnel, you will provide expert support throughout their recovery journey, leveraging your clinical skills and experience to achieve outstanding outcomes.

About You

  • You hold a degree qualification with current clinical skills or rehabilitation counselling skills.
  • You are registered with a relevant professional body (APHRA, ESSA, ASORC, AASW).
  • You have at least 6-12 months of experience in Occupational Rehabilitation (desirable).
  • You possess a full driver's license.
  • You demonstrate sound clinical reasoning abilities and highly effective communication skills.
  • You exhibit excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • You share an unrelenting passion to help people rehabilitate and transform into the best version of themselves.

Estimated Salary: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum
