About Our Opportunity

We are Acumen, a leading Australia-wide allied health and occupational rehabilitation service provider. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Rehabilitation Consultant to join our passionate team in the ACT.

The successful candidate will work with the Australian Defence Force at the Health Centre in Duntroon, supporting military personnel in their recovery journey. This role suits experienced Rehabilitation Consultants or Clinicians who desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Opportunity

We are looking for talented, motivated, and enthusiastic Allied Health clinicians from various disciplines, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, and more. As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will partner with Defence personnel, assess their needs, and develop strategies to enable their rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and identify clients' needs to develop personalized rehabilitation plans
  • Partner with Defence personnel to support their recovery journey
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Provide education and guidance to clients and their families

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified with current clinical skills or rehabilitation counselling skills
  • Hold a full registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., APHRA, ESSA, ASORC, AASW)
  • At least 6-12 months experience in Occupational Rehabilitation (desirable)
  • Hold a full driver's license
