Delivering evidence-based outcomes in the justice system is crucial to making a meaningful impact. In this role, you will work closely with legal officers and youth justice teams to ensure that civil claims of child abuse are thoroughly investigated.

Job Overview

This position is part of the Conduct and Professional Standards team, responsible for investigating civil claims made against youth justice.

As a key contributor, you will help build capability within the team by consulting with legal officers at key stages of each claim and providing comprehensive assessments.

  • Obtain records and conduct forensic analysis of allegations made in historic child abuse civil claims, including gathering and reviewing information and records, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare detailed case summaries and factual reports to support legal officers managing civil claims.
  • Collect, record, and maintain accurate case information to support assessments, advice provided by external legal providers, information sharing, and reporting.
  • Review and contribute to the development and implementation of internal procedures related to the factual investigation of child abuse claims against youth justice.
