
Clinical Hearing Specialist

As a key member of our audiology team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional hearing care to clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing and diagnosing hearing loss, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering top-notch patient services.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments to identify the extent of client hearing loss, utilizing a range of techniques including audiometric tests
- Compile and report assessment results, making referrals to medical professionals as necessary
- Recommend tailored solutions for those with hearing impairment, encompassing amplification, implantable devices, medical interventions, and assistive listening devices, alongside providing aural rehabilitation programs
- Offer guidance, advice, and information to clients and families as part of comprehensive treatment
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of noise control and hearing conservation strategies
- Deliver treatment and management for hearing and communication disorders stemming from age-related factors, disabilities, or injuries/diseases
- University Audiology qualification or TAFE Audiometry Qualification
- Current membership (CCP) or eligibility for membership (CCP) of AudA or ACAud
- Current QP number
- Strong audiological skills and knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding client experience
- Ability to learn and understand new software with training
- Proven ability to achieve performance targets
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Good teamworking skills
- Ability to network with General Practitioners and other allied health professionals
