Clinical Audiologist
">This is a permanent, full-time position that requires the assessment and diagnosis of client hearing loss. The audiologist will use a wide range of techniques, including audiometric tests, to assess the extent of hearing loss.
">Responsibilities:
">- Assessing and diagnosing hearing loss using various techniques
- Reporting results of assessments and tests in writing and making referrals to medical practitioners as necessary
- Recommending solutions to those with hearing impairment, including amplification devices, implantable devices, and assistive listening devices
- Providing counselling, advice, and information to clients and families as part of overall treatment
- Developing and managing noise control and hearing conservation strategies
- Treating and managing hearing and communication disorders related to age, disability, or injury
Requirements:
">The ideal candidate for this role will have:
">- A university degree in audiology or an equivalent qualification
- Current membership or eligibility for membership of AudA or ACAud
- A current QP number
- Solid audiological skills and knowledge
- Excellent levels of customer care and service
- Ability to learn new software
- Proven ability to achieve KPIs
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Good team working skills
