Job Summary
The Head of Retail Innovation is a strategic leader responsible for shaping the future of retail. This role involves designing and implementing innovative store formats that combine technology, design, and customer insight to create engaging shopping experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a retail innovation strategy to drive business growth and improve customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new store formats that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Explore and embed emerging technologies such as smart shelves, AI merchandising, and digital signage to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Lead a team of experienced designers, strategists, and technologists to achieve retail innovation goals.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of leading transformation projects in large retail environments. You should also have expertise in CAD, planning tools, customer data, and retail analytics. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to empower teams, take calculated risks, and learn quickly from mistakes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Design, Architecture, or Retail Management.
  • Postgraduate degree in Design Thinking, Retail Strategy, or an MBA would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in store design, space planning, and innovation leadership.
