The Regional Sales Manager is a key leadership position responsible for driving sales performance and business growth in a designated region. This role involves leading and developing a regional sales team to achieve strategic objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Sales Team Leadership Responsibilities- Drive sales performance and meet business priorities in the assigned region.
- Conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and implement effective territory planning and marketing campaigns.
- Define and review team account and geographic responsibilities.
- Collaborate with national teams to track sales metrics and ensure best practices.
- Lead the servicing of key Veterinary Wholesale accounts and buying groups.
- Conduct business reviews and develop strategic plans with sales, marketing, and technical teams.
- Engage key account influencers to deliver business outcomes.
- Prioritize accounts and strategies with National Sales & Key Accounts Lead.
- Meet sales budgets, market share, and team metrics.
- Ensure compliance with rebate, discount, and pricing policies.
- Maximize profits from new business opportunities.
- Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activity.
- Provide strategic recommendations to grow market share.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Life Science and/or Business preferred).
- Extensive customer-facing sales experience, ideally in Animal Health.
- Proven success managing sales teams and delivering on KPIs and budgets.
- Strong business acumen with budget management and financial expertise.
