Job Title: Dedicated Child Welfare Professional
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our child welfare services, you will play a vital role in making a positive and lasting difference to children and young people through the provision of quality care in a family setting.
- You will work collaboratively with our integrated team to monitor the needs of children/young people and their families, providing regular support via telephone and face-to-face visits to Foster Carers.
- Facilitating and encouraging support contact as agreed in the care plan is also an essential part of your role.
- Ensuring the protection of children and their welfare is given absolute priority in all activities and events, while also ensuring that the children/young person's opinions are sought over all issues likely to affect their daily life.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a recognised professional qualification in Social Work, with overseas qualifications validated or recognised by the AASW.
A strong background in child and family social work, combined with the ability to supervise and empower a team, is crucial for this position.
You will be knowledgeable on relevant legislation that arises from the various Child Protection Legislation and Government initiatives and Agendas across New South Wales.
A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one, as well as a clear full New South Wales drivers' licence, are mandatory requirements for this role.
