Job Overview:

This role involves providing support and assistance to vulnerable children, young people and their families in complex situations. The successful applicant will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members and children to provide a range of services.

The ideal candidate will be confident, curious and resilient, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will require relevant experience working with children, young people and their families, as well as a valid driver's licence and paid working with children clearance number.

A talent pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and assistance to vulnerable children, young people and their families in complex situations.
  • Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members and children to provide a range of services.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including children, young people, families, carers and community agencies.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and protocols that promote best practice in child protection and welfare.

Requirements:
  • Relevant diploma or degree qualification, or at least two years' experience working with children, young people and their families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's licence and paid working with children clearance number.
