We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine Director to join our team at BeBee, a leading online platform for professionals and entrepreneurs. As a Wine Director, you will be responsible for curating and managing our wine list, ensuring a diverse and balanced selection that meets the high standards of our discerning members.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive wine program that aligns with our company's values and mission.
- Conduct wine tastings and staff training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service standards.
- Provide expert recommendations to our members, enhancing their online experience.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to create harmonious wine and food pairings.
- Maintain inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes, and manage supplier relationships.
- Have a solid understanding of online platforms, data analysis, and pricing to be able to order and manage costs effectively.
- Oversee wine service during online hours, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and excellence.
- Proven experience as a Wine Director or similar role in a fast-paced online environment.
- Extensive knowledge of local and international wines, with a passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and train a team.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering exceptional member experiences.
- Certified Sommelier or equivalent qualification.
