Job Title: Wine Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wine Director to join our team at Macro Recruitment. As a Wine Director, you will be responsible for managing and elevating our prestigious wine program for discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert wine selections and pairings to guests
  • Lead and train the sommelier team to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Manage all administrative aspects of the wine program, including purchasing, cost control, and stock management
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure seamless service and high-quality guest experiences

Requirements:

  • CMS Certified equivalent or higher
  • Previous experience as a Head Sommelier or Wine Director
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to train and develop a team
  • Exceptional service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Excel
  • Ability to manage stock control and cellar management
  • A genuine passion for wine and fine dining
