About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer Support to join our team in our Malaga Data Centre for Fujitsu. This is a permanent role with a salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Certification Awareness and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all data centre certifications.
  • Customer Support: Provide 24/7 support services to the data centre client base, visitors, contractors, and other data centre roles.
  • Escorting and Dedicated Supervision: Escort and supervise visitors, contractors, and other personnel within the data centre.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Respond to and complete ad-hoc requests from the data centre team and clients.
  • Remote Hands Requests: Perform remote hands tasks as required by the data centre team and clients.
  • Goods Receiving and Collection: Receive and collect goods and equipment as required by the data centre team and clients.
  • Equipment Movement and Staging: Move and stage equipment within the data centre as required.
  • Tape Management: Manage tape storage and retrieval within the data centre.
  • Operational Support (BAU): Perform routine tasks in the Fujitsu DC Management systems as directed.
  • DC Internal Systems: Monitor and maintain the BMS, CCTV, and Access Control systems within the data centre.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update all documentation, including rack layouts, patching plans, floor plans, telco/MDF service records, weekly task lists, installed racks, switchboard manifests, and asset management.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a data centre environment, relevant to facilities maintenance, security, and/or implementation activities.
  • Hands-on network experience, including physical level, layer 1 cabling, and data comms.
  • Experience with telco services and its physical delivery methods.
  • Experience in a high availability data centre environment with critical SLAs.
  • Experience in the installation of rack mounting servers and IT equipment.
Technical Competencies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of critical site mechanical and electrical infrastructure in a high availability environment.
  • Ability to navigate and operate the onsite BMS systems.
  • Understanding of fire detection and suppression systems, including VESDA.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including backup media management and basics of cabling infrastructure.
