About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer Support Specialist to join our team in our Malaga Data Centre for Fujitsu. This is a permanent role with a salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Certification Awareness and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all data centre certifications.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional support services to the data centre client base, visitors, contractors, and other data centre roles.
  • Escorting and Dedicated Supervision: Escort and supervise clients, contractors, and other personnel as required.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Respond to and complete ad-hoc requests from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Remote Hands Requests: Provide remote hands support for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Goods Receiving and Collection: Receive and collect goods as required.
  • Equipment Movement and Staging: Move and stage equipment as required.
  • Tape Management: Manage tape storage and retrieval.
  • Operational Support (BAU): Perform routine tasks in the Fujitsu DC Management systems as directed.
  • DC Internal Systems: Monitor and maintain BMS, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update documentation, including rack layouts, patching plans, floor plans, and asset management records.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a data centre environment, with a focus on facilities maintenance, security, and/or implementation activities.
  • Hands-on network experience, including physical level cabling and data comms.
  • Experience with Telco services and physical delivery methods.
  • Experience in high availability data centre environments with critical SLAs.
  • Ability to navigate and operate onsite BMS systems.
  • Understanding of fire detection and suppression systems, including VESDA.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including backup media management and basics of cabling infrastructure.
  • Availability to work rotational shifts to cover 24/7 requirements.
Technical Competencies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of critical site mechanical and electrical infrastructure in a high availability environment.
