  • This role will involve providing exceptional post-sales services to customers.

Your team's dynamic is centered around delivering high-quality support services. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be based in Sydney and report to the Customer Experience Team Lead.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and solve complex issues using software tools and established processes.
  • Articulate ideas clearly and concisely to resolve problems and ensure timely escalation of critical customer issues.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists and engineers to develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Develop an extensive working knowledge of Genetec's solutions and contribute to their evolution.
  • Participate in documentation and creation of knowledge base articles.
  • Document issues encountered in the field and perform installation, audit, assessment, maintenance, and technical support of Genetec systems on customer premises.
  • Provide professional services including system deployment, commissioning, training, audits, and status assessments.
  • Define product and functional requirements based on customer feedback and facilitate new product development work specific to the customer.

Requirements:

  • A minimum diploma/degree in computer science, computer engineering, electronics or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years working experience in a related role.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in hardware and software.
  • Flexible attitude, able to multitask, with priority management skills.
  • Experience in customer service, technical support, and project management.
  • Autonomy to manage workload and team player ability.
  • CCNA qualification and fluent English communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and passport required.

Technical Requirements:

  • Excellent administration and troubleshooting knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Networking principles and IP protocols expertise.
  • Experience with networking equipment configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Video security system over IP – CCTV system or access control experience.
  • SQL databases and network storage understanding.
  • TCP, IP, and UDP protocol stack knowledge.
