Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially savvy Procurement Planner to join our team. As a key member, you will provide accurate forecasting for stock across our range of products.
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You will use your innovation and analytical skills to question, refine, and streamline current processes.
You will have the opportunity to take the next step in your Planning career or broaden your experience in a retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve forecast accuracy by working closely with internal stakeholders on future demand
- Actively manage and monitor inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs, ensuring purchase orders are accurate and on time
- Be proactive and propose improvements to current processes, thinking critically and challenging yourself and others
- Ensure timely import of products and stock management, to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Understand and minimise logistics and warehousing costs by effectively analysing inventory levels and purchase orders' shipments sizes and frequency
- Regularly analyse demand and audit to avoid potential stock outs and aged stock, taking corrective action where necessary
- Analyse performance of various product ranges and recommend actions to key stakeholders
- Ensure minimal sold-out products, monitoring them and timely updating of prices, presale dates, and stock levels
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure stock levels are sufficient, considering potential demand changes based on sales and/or promotional campaigns
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Mathematics, or similar)
- Experience within or have exposure to Demand Planning or Inventory/Stock Control, preferably within a Retail, eCommerce, or FMCG environment
- Highly analytical and logical, ready to delve into data, evaluating offers and products quickly to determine their value to customers
- Develop strong and effective relationships through excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Multi-tasking ability, juggling multiple tasks at once without dropping the ball
- Whiz with Microsoft Excel, using VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not just SUM and AVERAGE
- Tech-savvy, using various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity
- Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within a dynamic business model
Benefits:
- Work with an incredible team to solve important challenges, driving retail's future
- Ownership, autonomy, and little red tape, empowering you to achieve positive outcomes
- Part of a pioneering retailer, transforming the retail environment
- Range of employee benefits, including team discounts, Health & Wellness program, and extensive career development opportunities
To Apply:
Express your interest in this opportunity by uploading your CV and Cover Letter, outlining your interest in the position and how you think you can help grow the business.
Hot tip: generic Cover Letters won't cut it here - stand out with an application that shows a deep knowledge of the business and how we operate.
