About this role
This exciting opportunity exists for an Inventory Planning Manager to join our team. As part of our steel division, you'll be responsible for managing the planning process for manufacturing, managing inventory levels, and sourcing vendors to optimize profitability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to streamline the planning process and create inventory policies
- Maintaining accurate inventory levels through stock takes and cycle counts
- Reviewing vendor performance and sourcing new suppliers as needed
- Implementing and managing procurement documentation, including purchase order reconciliations
- Communicating with customer service teams to improve service levels for customers
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Solid experience in supply chain management, purchasing, planning, stock control, and warehousing
- Advanced knowledge of SAP, including maintaining master data, setting MRP parameters, and forecasting
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and develop strong relationships with vendors
