Job Description Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Planner to join Service Stream in our Melbourne office.
About the Role
Service Stream's Planning and Systems division are currently seeking a Inventory Planner to join our growing company. You will be responsible for supporting efficient operation of Service Stream's inventory management systems and ensure material is available to support operations. The role will lead materials replenishment to minimise stock holdings whilst maintaining material availability to ensure that SSMs contract obligations and customer demand are met. A key focus is minimising cost associated with stock holding and wastage as well as improving supply chain integration within the business and customers. The role is also responsible for efficient operation and maintenance of the company's Warehouse Management System

Reporting Line: National Inventory & Systems Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with BUs and Customers in relation to forecasts provisioning and related requirements.
- Analyse forecasts and work with team members to setup cost effective min/max and target stock levels across all contracts.
- Execute inventory replenishment processes and modelling across assigned contracts
- Monitor end-to-end stock movement and effective inventory control processes to ensure system SOH integrity.
- Analyse and monitor stock levels for assigned contracts, including focus on SLOB stock, to maximise stock turns.
- Conduct analysis to identify obsolete or excess stock for assigned contracts and initiate appropriate resolution process (transfer, return to supplier, mark-down, customer buy-back, write-off etc).
- Monitor stock transfer process between warehouses and make appropriate recommendations.
- Identify, investigate and report constructively resolve drivers of inventory variances.
- Deliver accurate reporting and information on a timely basis with regard to stock levels, forecast accuracy, inventory turns etc (both routine and ad Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management. Good communication skills, both verbal and written).
- Assist and train other supply chain operators with regard to WMS queries, inventory systems functionalities and material management rules. Manage accuracy of supply chain master data in WMS.
- Support execution of cycle counts and stocktakes; investigate and submit stock adjustments for approval.

About You
- Basic experience in materials planning and/ or supply chain or a Tertiary Logistics qualification
- Planning coordination with the cross functional stakeholders (internal and external)
- Knowledge and experience with Sales & Operations Planning
- Strong understanding of MRP and supply chain software
- Advanced computer skills, Excel experience mandatory
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills
- Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
