Mulgrave Private Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Services Manager to lead our Cardiac Services portfolio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of our Cardiac Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Cardiac Services portfolio, including the Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac/Cardiothoracic ward
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and access to cardiac services
- Ensure the facilitation of best practice clinical cardiac care and a positive patient experience
- Supervise the education of graduate nurses, registered and enrolled nurses, and postgraduate nurses in cardiac and cardiothoracic nursing
- Collaborate with Visiting Medical Officers, Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Intensivists, and Emergency Department Physicians to enhance relationships and improve patient outcomes
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient labor management, supply management, and bed utilization
- Ensure compliance with Australian Clinical Health Standards and quality improvement activities
- Bachelor degree in nursing
- Postgraduate qualification in critical care or cardiac care
- Previous senior management experience in an acute hospital environment
- Proven experience in managing KPI datasets, including monitoring of activity targets, length of stay management, and human resource management
- Core knowledge of ACHS national standards and implementation and monitoring of quality activities to support these standards
