We're seeking an exceptional Senior Consultant to join our Planning & Infrastructure Economics team in Brisbane, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Australia's cities and regions.

About the Role:

Economic growth is driven by strategic infrastructure planning. As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead and deliver quantitative macro-economic and economy-wide modelling analysis of policies and projects, providing evidence-based advice to our clients in the planning and prioritisation of infrastructure investments.

You'll work with some of Australia's leading minds on the biggest economic issues and reforms nationally, such as tax, labour market, productivity, cost of living, immigration, and the future of our communities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Develop and provide strategic economic advice to private and public sector clients using your knowledge of economic theory and technical ability to develop evidence using quantitative economy-wide or macro-economic models.Lead and deliver economic analysis and advice on major infrastructure projects, identifying opportunities for growth and development.Collaborate with colleagues to support thought leadership across strategic, technical, and business issues impacting our clients and markets.Communicate complex economic ideas clearly and concisely to meet the specific needs of clients.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll have a strong background in economics, with tertiary qualifications and experience in quantitative economic modelling. Your skills and qualifications include:

  • Highly analytical approach to economics and data with a strong interest in the use of technology and data to improve advice.
  • Confident coding skills and familiarity with software packages that support management of large, complex data sets and the development and application of large economic models.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex problems and analytics in clear and compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
