Infrastructure People, a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, is partnering with a national contractor to deliver a major project. As a result, we are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Consultant to join their team in QLD.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the success of a prominent construction company. As a Senior Safety Consultant, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective safety systems, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Systems Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement robust safety systems that meet project-specific needs.
  • Training and Coaching: Provide ongoing training and coaching to ensure project teams understand their safety responsibilities and can perform them effectively.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all safety-related activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulations, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
  • Safety Content Creation: Support the development of toolbox talks and pre-start content to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze data and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement, driving strategic initiatives to enhance safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within Health and Safety teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment principles and monitoring of risk controls.
  • Strong investigative and auditing skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted strategies.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary package, estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
