About Us

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Advisor to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to our operations and infrastructure team, undertaking analysis, design, and review of safety related systems and policies as the Principal Advisor on safety systems and reporting.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in shaping our strategic direction and driving innovation in infrastructure safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in teams involved in formulating innovative and workable solutions for infrastructure safety related services.
  • Provide high-level safety advice to division management and senior executives on a broad range of issues.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and review reporting and assurance frameworks that support our strategic direction for infrastructure safety issues.
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks to advance our systems and databases to identify, define, and analyze best practice approaches to support infrastructure safety related services.
  • Lead the analysis of safety trends and issues and develop proactive safety awareness material in conjunction with relevant business units.
  • Prepare ministerial reports and briefing materials on infrastructure and safety issues.
  • Contribute to the development of team members by providing guidance and support, including on-the-job training.
  • Regularly liaise with stakeholder groups to ensure our services meet their needs.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A deep understanding of infrastructure safety principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership or advisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with developing and implementing safety-related policies and procedures.

Salary Information

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
