We have a unique opportunity to join our Legal team in Sydney and are currently seeking a Lead In-House Counsel to lead and manage legal affairs within the company.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional gaming experiences.
As a Lead In-House Counsel at VGW, you will provide strategic legal guidance to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, manage legal risks, and drive business growth through innovative solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on all legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital, and other strategic transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks in business transactions and activities.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Proactively advise management on potential legal risks and implications to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- 8+ years post-qualification experience with relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or relevant in-house experience.
- Admitted as a lawyer to practice in Australia.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- High degree of commercial acumen to understand the business' key drivers.
- Demonstrated adherence to a high standard of professional principles to ensure honesty, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all situations.
What We Offer:
We offer a highly competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
