Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team at the Hot Strip Mill in Port Kembla. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the shift operations run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on delivering exceptional performance while minimizing costs and waste.

As a Production Team Lead, you will work closely with your team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement strategies to achieve business objectives. You will also be responsible for leading and managing the team's success through their performance and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supervision as a shift team leader or similar, and possess excellent leadership skills, with a strong focus on safety and a willingness to develop and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and supporting the shift operations team, including managing operators, electrical and mechanical trades, and the Roll Shop team to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards.
  • Ensuring safety standards are never compromised, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified.
  • Supervising operational activities and striving for business improvements and manufacturing excellence.
  • Couching, mentoring, and developing the team to enhance capabilities.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
