Steel Production Manager

We are seeking a skilled Process Controller to join our team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility in New South Wales, Australia.
Job DescriptionAs a Process Controller, you will play a critical role in the control room environment, assisting in the production of high-quality steel products. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing the processing plant and equipment, investigating and resolving plant and process faults, improving work and safety standards, and coordinating the movement of hot metal from the Blast Furnace to the BOS.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage the processing plant and equipment to ensure efficient production
- Investigate and resolve plant and process faults to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement improved work and safety standards and environmental systems
- Coordinate the movement of hot metal from the Blast Furnace to the BOS
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, materials science, or a related field (highly regarded)
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and an annual profit share plan. We also provide opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
