Our organization is seeking a senior professional to lead a team that supports our operations across the country.

This key role requires a strong leader with exceptional organizational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to provide expert advice to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing team performance, providing strategic guidance, and undertaking tasks assigned by the Director.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of native title legislation and regulations and stay informed about sector changes.

- Ensure content quality through peer review and contribute to standards and consistency of practice and procedure.

- Foster effective relationships with stakeholders and establish a culture of service delivery that is flexible, positive, responsive, professional, and accountable.

- Deliver services in a timely and consistent manner, adhering to processes and procedures to a high standard.

- Provide management and supervision to allocated team members.

- Respond to information access requests including under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) if needed.

Requirements:
- A legal qualification and admission as a legal practitioner are mandatory;
- Previous experience in native title legal practice is advantageous;

Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrate cultural awareness of issues affecting First Nations peoples;
- Possess highly developed administrative, organisational, analytical and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to represent the organization in various forums;
- Leadership and management skills, including the ability to manage and supervise allocated team members;
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work constructively with stakeholders.
