The Opportunity

Our purpose-driven organisation is committed to helping people recover from injuries. Our claims teams coordinate, negotiate, and facilitate injured workers' recovery through tailored support.

As a senior team member, you will set the standard in claims management, guiding and supporting others through mentoring and coaching colleagues and leading by example.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims for early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders for effective Return to Work strategies.
  • Assist workers and employers with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations, and ensuring timely access to services for return to work and injury recovery.
  • Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to legislation or policies, undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments.
  • Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other team members.
About You
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme is mandatory.
  • You must currently reside in New Zealand to be eligible for relocation bonus.
  • An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to customer-centric support is required.
  • A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy to manage stakeholder engagement.
  • A team player who likes to work collaboratively and can also work independently.
