We are seeking an experienced Workplace Relations professional to join our team. As a Principal Workplace Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing workplace relations strategies that drive organisational excellence.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing expert advice on complex workplace relations matters to leadership within the department
  • Engaging with franchise and contract management teams (bus, train and tram)
  • Preparing complex ministerial advice, correspondence, Parliamentary Questions and Public Accounts and Estimates Committee briefings
  • Managing complex workplace relations cases and investigations
  • Providing strategic input to the interpretation of government policies and legislation
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Leading and/or contributing to the management of enterprise bargaining activities
  • Advocating in industrial tribunals

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex human resource, industrial and/or workplace relations issues
  • The ability to adapt to change, maintain composure and focus under pressure
  • An enthusiasm for Workplace Relations and a commitment to supporting, advising on and influencing the overall culture of the organisation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mandatory: A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
  • Role Specific Requirement: An ability and willingness to travel and work across locations within metropolitan and regional Victoria is sometimes required
