As a Recovery Mentor, you will play a vital role in our team by sharing your lived experience and expertise with residents. You will work closely with a skilled multidiscipline team to provide guidance, support and encouragement to individuals in our AOD withdrawal program. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while continuing to grow and develop your skills and practice.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Provide peer support and mentorship to residents in our AOD withdrawal program.">
  • Share your lived experience and expertise to help residents understand and navigate the recovery process.">
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to residents.">
  • Assist with the development and implementation of treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident.">
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting professionalism, respect and empathy.">

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Lived experience of treatment and recovery from substance use.">
  • A minimum of 2 years successfully engaged in work, volunteering or study after graduating from an AOD residential program or other similar treatment service.">
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening skills and clear speaking skills.">
  • Ability to maintain clear boundaries and engage in self-reflection.">
  • Ideal candidate will have a Diploma in AOD and Mental Health or willingness to complete AOD Skillset whilst in employment.">
