Job Description:">">We are seeking a Credit Officer to manage corporate credit policies, train and assist credit officers, and communicate with internal and external customers. This role involves monitoring accounts as they fall due, ensuring the management of receivables, and promoting a positive payment culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Achieve monthly targets and report results in the required format.">
  • Ensure effective telephone collections by continually following up with customers and relevant key sales personnel.">
  • Regularly review orders held, follow up with customers and sales representatives, and send a monthly report to inform Sales Managers of orders held and action taken.">
  • Reduce average days outstanding and percentage of debt exceeding terms by ensuring customers adhere to payment terms and addressing the culture of those who do not.">
  • Liaise with external contacts for trends and identify possible outside influences that impact company debt.">
  • Continually review and streamline current systems and processes.">
  • Review customers' credit terms and risk regularly, recommending methods and procedures to promote continuous improvement of credit processes.">
  • Assist with SAP implementation of credit and A/R processes, oversee Electrolux Control System compliance, and ensure all business trade and credit reporting and collection activities comply with statutory and legal requirements.">
  • Provide credit and risk information, interpretations, and support to other management, controlling activities such as credit policy, cash flow, and relevant budgets and costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:">
  • ">
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within credit management.">
  • Full understanding of the trade practices, consumer, credit, and privacy acts.">
  • Understanding of company balance sheet, profit, and loss reports, and year-end financials.">
  • Experience working with SAP (essential).">
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.">
  • A flair for customer service and an eye for detail.">
  • Dispute resolution skills.">
  • Team player and team builder.">
  • Member of Australian Institute of Credit Management (desirable).
