  • The Senior Credit Officer will lead the development and implementation of credit policies, procedures and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of credit management practices and regulations.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, including sales teams, as well as external customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage credit risk by analyzing customer creditworthiness and making informed decisions on credit limits and terms.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies that minimize credit risk.
  • Provide training and support to credit officers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements

">
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within credit management.
  • Full understanding of trade practices, consumer, credit & privacy acts.
  • Understanding of company balance sheet, profit & loss reports and year end financials.
  • Experience working with SAP is essential.
  • Clear verbal & written communication skills.
  • A flair for customer service and an eye for detail.
  • Dispute resolution skills.
  • Team player and team builder.
  • Member of Australian Institute of Credit Management (desirable).
